Marilyn “Jean” Beam, 88, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born February 25, 1929 in N. Baltimore, Ohio to the late James E. and Agnes Stafford. Jean was a loving home maker having worked at Jimmie’s Pizza for 13 years and Country Spirits in Arcola for 23 years. She was a member of the DAV and AMVETS.

Surviving are her children, Debra (Ralph) Costello, Sharon (Larry) Ahlersmeyer, Diane (William Griffiths) Lewis, Alan (Margo Davis) Beam, Sherry (Jonathan) Malcolm, Randy (April) Beam, Brenda (Grant) Loy, 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by a sister Betty Hoppel, a great-grandson Kade and a niece Beth Ann Hoppel.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 5, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 1 hour prior to service. There is also viewing Wednesday October 4, at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
