Obituary for
Romayne Carnahan-Chapman (Bellinger)
Romayne Carnahan-Chapman, 90, passed Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home with family and friends at her side. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter to the late, Andrew J. Bellinger and Emma P. (Wertman) Bellinger. She had moved to Arkansas and lived there until a few years ago. She was a retired school teacher, teaching in Arkansas and had worked at the Federal Court House here in Fort Wayne.
She is survived by a son, Rodney Carnahan of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Shane, Rochell, Cory and Bruce; great grandchildren, Alex, Jackson, Siles, James, Jr. and Amber; nephew, Norm Bellinger; great niece, Jan; and close friends, Bill and Karla Presson, Barb and Angie Turner.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Mervin Carnahan, J.W. Casey and Dick Chapman; a son, Ronnie Carnahan; and brother, Wayne Bellinger.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor Jay Miller. Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the funeral home. She will be placed in a niche at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the family.
