Robert Kenneth  Clapper
Robert “Bob” Kenneth Clapper, 83, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was born December 4, 1933 in Elwood, Indiana to the late, Roy and Elizabeth Clapper. Robert Retired as Branch Manager for Cummings Diesel in Fort Wayne after 47 years of service. Bob was a Navy veteran during the Korean War and a member of American legion 499 in Fort Wayne. He was also a member of the Elks Club 155, Moose 2276, Eagles 3752 and V.F.W. 8154 in Florida. He enjoyed taking cruises, traveling, boating, woodworking and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed winning a good old fashion game of cards or dominoes.

Bob is survived by his children, Curtis Lee (Jan Pequignot) Clapper, Brian Kenneth (Susie) Clapper, Sr., 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and long-time companion, Sherry Perkins.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth Clapper, in 2006; and a son, Mark Allan Clapper, in 2000.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
